Pilgrimage

for peace

A peaceful procession led by Csaba Böjte OFM from Szécsény to the chapel honoring Our Lady of Sorrows took place on September 15, 2022 having the pilgrims praying for peace.

Welcome to the website of Our Lady of Sorrows Chapel.  Patron saints of the Chapel: St. Francis, St. Clara and St. Anthony.

We hope that reading these lines inspires you to come and go through the Stations of the Cross while experiencing the suffering of Jesus and praying for peace.

We would be most grateful if you support the construction of the Our Lady of Sorrows Chapel which is built for ALL PEOPLE OF GOOD WILL AND THEIR FAMILIES, as an atonement, for peace and for Hungary, a Nation

of Virgin Mary!

A Chapel

for Peace

From the planning through its construction, the chapel as well as the Stations of the Cross are for those seeking God. For those who may only suspect his existence, for those who sincerely follow the path of Jesus Christ, and for those who have faith in Virgin Mary, mother of God’s son, and who wish to pray for peace and for relief from suffering.

Those constructing the Our Lady of Sorrows Chapel ask every man of good will for help. May this offering relieve suffering and bring peace!

Nowadays there are many factors and social impacts that influence the mind of people, diverting them from their own identity, their own culture. This all leads to isolation, and this is why we have to find our way back to God. Prayers and dialogue with God strengthen faith and hope in salvation. It is good to give and sacrifice, especially for the good of the people, for their salvation or for their peace.

We must face reality, we
cannot remain indifferent.

Those who are generous and willing

to give, are giving to the Lord.

The Lord will be grateful

for your goodness.
